A few weeks ago, a Beluga whale was discovered off the coast of Norway wearing a harness that led fisherman to believe the sea mammal escaped from a Russian military facility. Since being released from its harness, the whale has continued to linger nearby. In fact, he was spotted again a few days ago and surprised a group of friends with his special skills.
Remember the potentially military-trained Beluga whale that fishermen freed from a harness last month?

Well, apparently he hasn’t left the coast of Hammerfest, Norway where he was originally found.
A group of friends recently headed out to the area in hopes of catching a glimpse of the alleged spy whale.
Ina Mansika and her friends were hanging out on a dock nearby when the gentle giant came to greet them.
But that wasn’t all the Beluga did. After Mansika accidentally dropped her phone into the ocean, the whale swam down to retrieve it and returned it to the stunned owner with a smile.
“We laid down on the dock to look at it and hopefully get the chance to pat it,” Mansika told The Dodo. “I had forgotten to close my jacket pocket and my phone fell in the ocean. We assumed it would be gone forever, until the whale dove back down and came back a few moments later with my phone in its mouth!”
Mansika later shared footage of the amazing moment which has since gone viral.
The video has since racked up more than 30,000 likes.
And people couldn’t believe what they saw.
Mansika was beyond grateful to the sea creature and will never forget that special moment.
“Everyone was so surprised. We almost didn’t believe what we saw,” she said. “I was super happy and thankful that I got my phone back.”
