People Love These Two Toddlers Greeting Each Other Like Long Lost Friends After Two Days Apart

There’s something so pure about childhood friends. They just want to play with dirt or Elmo or cardboard boxes. They are elated to see their friend on the street because it simply means fun times are ahead.

That’s what a viral video is reminding all of us jaded adults. In the video, which was posted by Michael Cisneros, two toddlers race towards each other on unsteady little sausage legs with a sense of incredible joy, excited to hug each other and play.

“This is just so beautiful. Finnegan + Maxwell=BESTIES!!! If we could all be like this,” Cisneros, who is Maxwell’s dad, wrote in the post.

The two toddlers are named Maxwell and Finnegan, and they both live in New York City and are best friends, said Cisneros.

“They are always super excited to see each other, even if they’ve only been apart for a day or two,” Cisneros told HuffPost. “They communicate with each other in ways we don’t understand, but they sure do.”

He said the little friends share “food, clothes, toys, everything.”

The video has been widely shared, with folks commenting on how beautiful and inspirational the friendship is, especially during a moment of heightened racism that threatens to tear communities apart.

Adults can and should learn a lesson from these two adorable boys and well done to the parents. 💕💕

This is honestly so sweet it makes me want to cry. We all need to be like this. All love. Remember, racism is taught.

Human beings are born to love. To hate is an aberration of that love. We see that love in its most innocent form here, and it is beautiful.

Even Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez took a moment to share the video.

Cisneros thanked her, explaining that the two boys “have a beautiful friendship and i wanted to spread the love. With the state of our country we could all use a little hope and inspiration from our future leaders.”

AOC!!! Thank you for sharing this video. My son Maxwell and his bestie Finnegan have a beautiful friendship and i wanted to spread the love. With the state of our country we could all use a little hope and inspiration from our future leaders. Thanks again and much love!! ♥️

Here’s hoping this is the beginning of a lifelong friendship!
