After a photo of 93-year-old Olive Veronesi holding up a can of Coors Light along with a sign that read “I need more beer” went viral last week, Molson Coors showed up on her porch with ten cases of Coors Light.
JUST IN: 93-year-old Olive Veronesi of Seminole, PA, who held up a sign at her window asking for more beer, has received a delivery from @CoorsLight. The brand tells me 150 cans arrived at her house today. pic.twitter.com/c2lfGFBBTS— Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) April 13, 2020
“My associate and I put in 10 cases of beer, and drove up, and made sure Olive got her beer so she can continue her healthy regimen of a Coors light a day,” Mark Linder of Molson Coors said.
The Seminole, PA resident has been doing her best to practice social distancing in order to keep herself and others safe, so when she ran out of beer, she sent up a flare for help.
“I was on my last 12 cans, I have a beer every night, you know what, beer has vitamins in it, it’s good for you, as long as you don’t overdo it,” Veronesi says.
A relative snapped the photo and posted it to social media. The post eventually found its way to the CBS Pittsburgh affiliated KDKA-TV Facebook page where more than 5 million people saw it.
The post was shared over 50,000 times and many of the thousands of comments came from people hoping to help.

“When we saw Olive’s message, we knew we had to jump at the chance to not only connect with someone who brought a smile to our faces during this pandemic, but also gave us a special opportunity to say thanks for being a Coors Light fan,” a Molson Coors spokesman said in an email.
Veronesi was surprised and delighted when Molson Coors made the delivery.
She cracked a can right then and there on the porch. “That tastes pretty good,” she said.
“Even in the pre-COVID era, we would’ve been thrilled to fulfill Olive’s request,” Molson Coors said in statement. “But in this moment, during these unusual times, bringing a little bit of joy to someone’s day is the least we can do.”
Veronesi has updated her sign so it now reads “Got more beer!”
If she runs out again, Molson Coors has extended Veronesi and her family “a standing offer for more Coors Light whenever they’re ready for a restock.”
Not to mention her fans are just about falling over one another to send her more of her favorite beer.
