Former adult film star turned OnlyFans creator, Mia Khalifa, announced that she will be donating $100,000 to Beirut, the capital city of Lebanon where residents suffered a massive explosion earlier this year.
Khalifa tried to auction her “infamous” glasses but was unable to so she decided to use her earnings from OnlyFans to make the donation.
The platform offers exclusive content from creators to fans, who pay a monthly subscription to their page. Adult film stars and celebrities have begun to make their own pages on the site, offering explicit and non-explicit content. Celebs like Cardi B, (infamously) Bella Throne, Tyler Posey, Blac Chyna are just some of the people to join the site.
Khalifa joins the slew of adult entertainers who transitioned from working with studios to working on creating content on their own. She announced her pledge to donate to Lebanon in a TikTok. First, she explained trying to sell her glasses on eBay.
“We went through eight bidders, none of them worked out,” she said, “So I decided to pull the glasses off eBay and hold onto them.”
She continued to say, “I’ve also decided to donate $100,000 of my own money to the Lebanese Red Cross. I promised them that money, and I was going to get it to them one way or another.”
“I just want to thank everyone who has supported me on OnlyFans, because I would not be able to make this donation to Lebanon without you guys. I’m forever grateful. Thank you so much. I love you guys.”
