The CEO of Ocean Spray, Tom Hayes, bought a car for Nathan Apodaca — the man who made the video of himself longboarding while drinking cranberry juice and listening to “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac.
As his video began to go viral, people began to recreate his video, even the creator of the legendary band, Mick Fleetwood, participated in the trend.
As he started to gain hundreds of thousands of followers with that video, people discovered he was raising funds because he didn’t have running water. Soon, the internet donated thousands to him. Then, he was gifted a car, along with some Ocean Spray products, by Hayes.
Multiple publications have also written about his rise to viral fame. In profiles, he says he bags potatoes with his father in a factory. “We’ve been working ever since the pandemic, getting potatoes out to whoever needs them,” Apodaca said.
He’s also a firefighter, a father of two, and in his free time he loves to embroider. So, it’s no surprise that when the video of Apodaca getting his new car began making its way around social media, we couldn’t help but feel all the things.
In true TikTok fashion, he posted a video about it recreating the same vibes that made us fall in love with him.
