Ever since Nathan Apodaca, aka 420doggface208, posted his video on TikTok of him longboarding and listening to “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac, he started a trend that many notable figures have since joined in. Mick Fleetwood, creator of the legendary band behind the song “Dreams” posted his own video on TikTok and most recently, singer Stevie Nicks uploaded her take on the challenge.
In her video, she’s seen lacing up some white skates and she gracefully sings along to her own song that’s playing on a record player. As the singer finishes tying her skates, she poses for the camera and continues singing with her own bottle of cranberry juice next to her feet. Continuing the trend of acknowledging the vibes, she captioned the video, “Afternoon vibe. Lace ‘em up!” and the hashtag #CranberryDreams.
Her video has been played more than 13 million times on TikTok and has over two million likes.
Fleetwood was the first from the band to hop on the longboard and ride the trend. He posted a video of himself with the caption, “@420doggface208 had it right. Dreams and cranberry juice just hits different.” Apodaca and Fleetwood has the chance to talk in a recent BBC interview and he was elated to meet the star. Nathan was also surprised with a new car from the CEO of Ocean Spray.
The band is also seeing benefits from this viral trend. Their song has seen an uptick in daily streams, as well as overall streams. Stevie Nicks, too, is seeing an increase in listeners.
With two out of the four members participating in the trend, all we need now is Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham to take part in the trend.
