Missy Elliott Sees Bride Crowdfunding Her $1,300 Dream Dress And Buys The Whole Damn Thing

Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott has spent the past couple years popping in an out of our lives in the best way.

The legendary hip-hop artist has personally laid low for a few years music-wise. Her last full-length album was released in 2005, however, she’s been active in the industry. This year she contributed to tracks by Dua Lipa and Bree Runway and in 2019, she released her EP, Iconology and was a guest artist on Lizzo’s Grammy-winning album, Cuz I Love You. She has also made appearances on tracks from Fall Out Boy (2016), Ciara (2009 and 2018), Janet Jackson (2015) and more.

Missy’s also been popping in and out of her fans’ lives, helping them out when they’re in need.

Ireanna Bradshaw and Roderick Purdie are currently planning their March wedding, as well as preparing to move into their own place.

As anyone who has gone through a move or planned a wedding knows, those costs can pile up. Recently, Bradshaw found the wedding dress of her dreams at David’s Bridal. Unfortunately, the dress came with a $1,300 price tag and the cost got in the way of her and the perfect dress. She posted her heartbreak on Twitter with her CashApp username, hoping people could help contribute.

Well, it got someone’s attention. Missy Elliott herself jumped in the replies.

She then posted a follow-up reply, letting Bradshaw know her dream dress was paid for.

If you’re active on Twitter, you’ll notice Elliott is active with her fans and followers and often helps them out in whatever way she can. Recently, she took time to listen to a musician’s song and offer her compliments and some advice.

One Twitter user saw Elliott’s latest act of kindness and reminded everyone what she did for his dog.

Elliott followed up on her headline-making actions with a tweet acknowledging her blessings.

What a gem.
