A dog in the Atlanta metro area fell down a deep hole, and when a man checking the property came upon the scene, he called rescuers to the scene, who were able to save the dog.
Cobb County Animal Services posted news of the rescue on its Facebook page, showing remarkable pictures from the scene.
As People reported, “Ty McIntyre was checking his property when he discovered the dog trapped in a deep, muddy hole. McIntyre quickly called for help, and the Cobb County Fire Department responded to the scene.”
It was unclear how long the dog had been trapped in the hole before help arrived, but it was definitely an all’s well that ends well situation. “Miraculously, the pet sustained no major injuries from its fall into the hole,” People noted in its article.
“@cobbcountyfire (Station 1) responded and with the help of ACO Huber the dog was freed unharmed,” the Instagram post from Cobb County Animal Services noted. “The owner was located shortly after. Great teamwork from all.”
The team, using a long ladder, was able to lower a rescuer into the pit and pull the dog to safety.
When one person commented on Instagram, wondering why there was a hole so deep on the property, another person cracked, “It’s a husky! It probably dug the hole.”
“That doggy had a guardian angel,” another person observed. “Nice to see a happy ending.”
